I wanted to update my family Information for genealogy research purposes. My name is Rhonda LeRose Shirley, Name changed with my first marriage to Danny Mitchel Cornett: Two children were born into this marriage. Daniel Lee Cornett April 17, 1982 and Carl D.J. Cornett November 29, 1985. My name changed again with my second marriage to Richard James Robinson II: Two children were born to this marriage Richard James Robinson III April 27, 1991 and Miranda Lynn Robinson January 18, 1993. My name changed again with my third marriage to Rafael Enrique Liboy Ortiz of Puerto Rican Decent no children were born to this marriage.
My Parents are Father: David Joseph Shirley (deceased Nov 13 1984) birthdate December 9th 1941 believed to be the correct year born to Charles Oscar Shirley and Jean Shirley. Mother: Rosalee Dee Parks birthdate December 19th 1942. born to Glenn Parks (deceased at age 40) and Janis Terrill who is currently 96 Years of age (today's date 2/23/2020) born on St Patricks Day.

I'm not sure this is where I need to post a couple of pictures.  I'm not even sure these two folks are in the Shirley family.  Both pictures came to me via a deceased uncle's "Witty/Shirley" pictures that I was given.  Since neither of these seem to fit my Witty family.  I will assume the lady may be my Shirley greatgreat grandmother.  If anyone can help identify these two folks and this gentleman I would be most appreciative.  (On the back of the man's picture is a photography company in Louisville, KY.)  The lady's picture is an old tin-type.  The child's picture on reverse is a company in Hopkinsville, KY.

I am a descendant of Burrell Shirley of Waynesboro, Wayne County, Mississippi. I would like to know if any males that have the surname Shirley that are his descendants exist or have completed ydna. Fellow researchers and other Kelley descendants have searched and none of the line have been found so far.

Hi. I am a Shirley through my father. His Grandmother through his mother was a Shirley.
However, this question isnt about my specific geneology but a more general one.

I am taking a history class on the Ottoman Empire.
In today's lecture, a Robert Shirley (1581-1628) was mentioned.
He was a British consultant to the Shah of the Safavid Empire (enemies of the Ottomans's)
Just thought I'd ask if there is any connection to this Shirley branch.

Have you checked on the "Shirley" spelling? I've found Sherly, Sherley, Sherly and another one l can't remember.
