My question is does anyone have information to prove this to be correct or incorrect and also who Moses (b.1758) who his father was?

I am a descendent of Benjamin Richard Shirley. The lineage is Moses Shirley, John Shirley, Benjamin Richard Shirley, Benjamin Franklin Shirley, George Benjamin Shirley, Andrew Calvin Shirley and myself, Richard Allan Shirley b. 1955. What is interesting is I was born in Orange Texas and I see your father, John Allen lived in that area and we never knew each other. Small world yet we live worlds apart.

McKenzie it appears David Burell Shirley, (1725) of North Carolina is Moses Shirley’s father but the records are sketchy and conflicting.

I am a descendant of John Shirley Of Darlington Co. SC. born in 1775 lineage # 56. My great-grandfather was (John) David Shirley b. May 22, 1810. of Beauregard Parrish near DeRidder, La. My grandfather was Walter D. Shirley b.ca. 1859 in the Beauregard Parrish. He was the last child. He married Mary Lewis and they had four children: Disston Shirley, Bessie Shirley (Porter) and my father and twin sister Ted Lester Shirley and Tessie Shirley (Iles).
Ted Lester had three children Dwayne Shirley, myself and younger sister Salita Marlene Shirley. In 1959 after my grandfather, Walter died in DeRidder my mother(Minerva Perkins Shirley)divorced and we moved to Magnolia, TX and lived with my mothers's sister Myrtle E. Perkins Lee). My father, Ted Lester Shirley came to Texas around 1960-61 and Minervia remarried around 1963 and continued to live in the Houston area until his death in 9-4-1967.The Texas area lineage is as follows; Dwayne Donnell Shirley married Claudette Kowis in 1967 and had two sons: Robert D. Shirley b. July 1967 and John David Shirley b. September 1972. Myself (Lawayne Ponzell) married Lloyd Reaves on May 3, 1968 in Spring, Texas. By the time my children Wendy Kay Reaves, b./d. June 17, 1969, Michael Clint Reaves,b. July 9, 1971 and Angelia Desiree on April 9, 1974. If anyone is interested I will continue my family at a later date.
