Someone by the name of "Lisa" whose grandfather was Walter Shirley edited in the "Samuel Shirley Lancashire, England" page. 
We are the descendants of Alice Shirley & Hassan Taweel (my great grandparents) and we would like an opportunity to reconnect with our Shirley relatives and share pictures of our ancestors.

Hello, I’m so sorry I have only just seen your post regarding the Taweel family. I always wondered what happened to Alice and Hassan as they disappeared from English censuses soon after they married and I wondered if the family returned to Hassans homeland. It’s really so good to now know that the family continued and lives on today. Thank you for adding to my original post. As my grandfather, Douglas Malcolm Shirley, was adopted I only have photographs from his generation onwards but would be happy to share.
